Al Gilbert
CEO

Al Gilbert, President and CEO of Felton Institute: Family Service Agency of San Francisco , joined Felton as Chief Financial Officer in October 2004, after serving as a consultant to the organization for several years. Al then served as Chief Operating Officer, before his appointment as President and CEO. During his tenure on behalf of Felton, he strategically executed improvements in the organization’s operating budget and negotiated millions of dollars in grants in loans. In addition, he was instrumental in the expansion of Felton operations throughout California and forged partnerships in other states.

 

Mr. Gilbert’s career as a fiscal and strategic professional includes a wide array of fields from technology, banking, retail, operations management, and manufacturing to education, social services, and government. He serves as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors of TODCO Development Company. Mr. Gilbert also served on the Boards of Town School for Boys and the Kiwanis International, and was Board President of Art, Research and Curriculum, Inc. Mr. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. Al lives with his wife and son in the East Bay.

Marvin Davis
CFO

Marvin has more than 23 years of professional accounting, audit, tax, financial consulting and management experience in the small business and non-profit sectors. He joined Felton Institute: Family Service Agency of San Francisco in 2005 as a consultant and shortly thereafter accepted the position as Controller. He has served in this capacity for the last 7 years, until he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in February 2013.

 

Prior to joining Felton Institute: Family Service Agency of San Francisco , Marvin headed Marvin Davis Consulting, where he provided accounting and consulting services to various small businesses and nonprofits. A San Francisco Bay Area native, Marvin earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from CSU Hayward. He currently resides in the Bay Area with his wife of 14 years and their two children.

Terry Limpert

A founding member of the Circe Board, Terry was a Partner with Mercer Delta Consulting, LLC for 20 years. While at Mercer Delta, he consulted at the CEO level of major institutions in the areas of organizational architecture and design, organizational transition and change, executive team development, leadership and process design.  He also has experience in strategy formulation and culture change, and has consulted across the healthcare, telecommunications, financial services, technology, and chemical process industries. He currently works in private practice with corporations and small businesses and on a pro bono basis with non-profit agencies. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Marietta College and did graduate work in Business Administration at Babson College.  He is a graduate of the Advanced Program in Organization Development and Human Resource Management, Columbia University and has studied at the NTL Institute and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.  He is a Board Member at Felton Institute: Family Service Agency of San Francisco.

A founding member of the Circe Board, Michael N. Hofman is the managing officer of Janet Moyer Landscaping (JML), a full service landscaping company based in San Francisco, CA. Before joining JML, Michael had a successful career in healthcare information systems and held management positions with several San Francisco Bay Area companies, including Performance Factors, Inc., JDA, and French Hospital Medical Center. In July of 2015, he was re-elected as the Board Chair of Felton Institute: Family Service Agency of San Francisco, a position he also held from 1988 to 2009. Michael has devoted his time and management expertise to Felton’s board for more than 23 years. Felton Institute, founded in 1889, is the oldest nonsectarian, nonprofit charitable social-services provider in the City and County of San Francisco. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Colorado.

Andre is a hands-on technical leader and solutions architect who currently leads presales in the Americas for the EVRYTHNG Smart Products Platform. His breadth of experience includes growing gamer audiences, decreasing payment fraud, streaming video games with ROBLOX, OnLive, and Crispy Gamer and transforming the TIBCO Loyalty Lab product into an experience management platform. Andre’s skills include creating cloud security platforms and building a real-time bioinformatics platform to monitor neurosurgery patients. He holds a BA in Cognitive Science from Vassar College and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
